Established in 2009, the East Africa School of Taxation (EAST) is an accredited research and training center for taxation. We are headquartered in Kampala, Uganda.
Since its inception EAST has trained over 2,000 professionals including lawyers, Financial managers, accountants and economists f rom revenue authorities, finance ministries, tax tribunals and the private sector including law firms, consulting firms and civil society organizations.
We offer courses and continuing education programs including Taxation, Public Financial Management and Business Management.

The Training Centre

By earning the certificate, students enhance their resumes and strengthen their applications for graduate school and many competitive job markets.

Course Schedule

The Post Graduate Diploma in Tax and Revenue Administration is offered as an evening course from 6pm to 9pm, three days a week. We have three intakes every year: January, May and September.

Tuition Structure

The fees are UGX 1,550,000 per semester, excluding a one time non-refundable registration fee of UGX 110,000 that is paid during the initial application process. All payments are made to the bank using school bankslip.

Entry Requirements

Applicants for the DITRA course must be either holders of a degree from a recognizable university or members of professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICS, ICSA or ICAE & W.

The Centre organizes seminars and workshops on tax issues. This Centre supports the work of both the Policy Centre and the Training Centre.

Policy Centre

Our Policy Centre undertakes research and conducts training on various issue areas including tax policy, government expenditure management, fiscal decentralization, public sector accountability, auditing and reporting.
